AfterHrsGuide (the “site”) explains how the site collects and uses information. Please read this policy before using the site.
1. Scope
This policy applies when you browse AfterHrsGuide, join the weekly note, or see advertisements on this site. It does not apply to other websites, including Google’s own sites. Read those sites’ own policies for how they handle information.
2. Information collected
The information involved in using this site is limited to the following:
- Weekly note: the email address you submit when you join. The site does not ask for your name.
- Advertisements: when an ad is shown, Google and its advertising partners collect information through cookies and similar technologies, including identifiers used to serve ads and to measure how they perform.
- Preferences on your device: your choice of language, and of day or night display, is stored in your browser. It is not sent to AfterHrsGuide.
3. How information is used
That information is used as follows:
- The site uses your email address to send the weekly note. The note is sent on Sundays.
- Google uses the advertising information to deliver ads, including personalized ads, and to measure their performance. AfterHrsGuide does not receive the contents of those advertising cookies.
- Language and display choices are used only to show the site as you selected on that device.
The site does not sell email addresses, and it does not pass them to an advertising network for marketing.
4. Third parties
Advertisements on this site are provided by Google AdSense. How Google uses information is covered by Google’s own policies. The site does not use another advertising network, and it does not use an analytics service.
5. Cookies and local storage
Ads are shown through Google AdSense. Google, and vendors working with Google, use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site and to other sites. Those ads may be personalized.
Language and day or night display use the browser’s local storage. That storage is not a cookie, and it is not sent to AfterHrsGuide.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser. Doing so may change how advertisements are shown. Reading the site does not require an account or a cookie.
6. How long information is kept
The site keeps an email address while you receive the weekly note. You can stop the note at any time with the unsubscribe option in a message. After you unsubscribe, the site stops sending to that address and removes it from the list used to send the note.
Language and display choices stay in your browser until you clear that browser’s data.
7. Changes to this policy
The site may update this policy. When it does, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change.
